As a fiber artist, Nico Mazza uses historically female-dominated traditions, such as embroidery, to explore cultural and social strands of femininity, and women’s work. Her work is inspired by the various ways in which traditions are preserved, repeated, and fractured over time. Nico is based in Gainesville, Florida and Buenos Aires, Argentina and holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
