Valentina Alvarado’s work blurs the distinction between collage, video, and installation. Native of Maracaibo, Alvarado gained a BA in Graphic Design at the Universidad del Zulia where she has also worked as a professor in the Experimental Arts Faculty. Currently studying a MFA in Universitat de Barcelona. In 2008 she founded and continues to direct the accessories brand Oh! Nena. Her professional career in graphic design has run parallel to her development as a visual artist. She has created fanzines, art web projects, and has taken part in several group shows between Maracaibo, Caracas, Barcelona, Madrid, and New York.
